RAVEN ROCK MOUNTAIN

This rental was everything we could have hoped for and more. The view was absolutely breathtaking! Inside had everything we could need. Waking up with the garage door open seemed to transport us into a mystical, foggy world; it was truly like nothing we have ever experienced. Would highly recommend this spot!

First off, Jen and Doug’s mountain retreat is absolutely stunning and immersive with nature. They truly are creative builders with beautiful details, amenities, and a top-tier off-grid set up. Beyond the beauty of the accommodations, the hosts were extremely kind and helpful. They were extremely gracious and comforting when I had a middle of the night emergency to no fault of their own. I would highly recommend this listing for anyone looking for an exceptional mountain experience!!!

This was one of the coolest airbnbs I have ever stayed in. It’s private on top of a mountain with natural rock formations holding up the cabin, with a cave underneath where the fire pit is. The views are just insane. If you’re down for a bit of adventure and willing to give up a couple of luxury amenities for a really unique experience that you’ll never forget, then this is the place for you. The hill to get up to the cabin is serious, so 4 wheel drive is absolutely necessary. YOU WONT REGRET IT. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!

I can’t recommend this place more. It’s a peaceful retreat in beautiful surroundings. Jen and Doug were very kind and even drove us to and from the cabin since we did not have AWD. This is definitely a place I would visit again.

Not only was the place absolutely beautiful and worth every penny, the hosts were so helpful and communicative. Jen and Doug definitely went the extra mile to make sure our experience was amazing 💛!!

The views were great even on the rainy days it still managed to clear up enough to enjoy the scenery and Mountain View’s. The place was private and exactly as described and the hosts were very responsive the entire time.

We only stayed a single evening, but time stood still for the duration of our stay. Deer, groundhogs and chipmunks gave us community, song birds gave us chorus, the hosts gave us hospitality and the experience gave us peace.

We loved the views from our perch on the mountain. Jen and Doug’s cabin was super clean and cozy. We had easy access to anything that came up as their place is not far from Asheville or local stores and restaurants. We really didn’t want to leave after settling in. Our Grand Cherokee didn’t struggle with climbing up or coming down the mountain. Bummed about only staying for one night but it was worth it.

This was one of the most beautiful places we have ever experienced. We watched the sun set and storms roll in from the top of the world. The windows and doors opened up so that the outside space was easily utilized. In rain storms we were perfectly dry on covered porch. The shower was hot and the space was clean. Jen and Doug were available if we needed them for anything. We can’t forget to mention the fire pit was amazing!

We absolutely loved our stay! It was part 2 of our honeymoon and it was a beautiful and secluded spot. It had a very rustic and magical feel, which was right up our alley. We will definitely be going back. I love how it is solar powered and the bathroom is very accessible. I was super happy when I found a way to plug in my hair straightener through the closet and it still reached to the mirror. I was worried. Haha. Sunsets and sunrises were so beautiful. We appreciated having the small fridge for our ice, cold water and little bit of food we brought. The host was very responsive and helpful. The location was very convenient to both Hendersonville and Asheville, where we did a little shopping downtown. I can’t wait for our next visit! It was like a piece of paradise.
